CHAPTER ELEVEN THE MANY SUPPRIZES OF CAMP She couldn't tell if anyone was home and she walked in to see the most astonishing sight. A living room greeted her, complete with furniture. Not only had the group built wooden walls but they had gathered furniture to distribute around the cabin and she was more than impressed. She sat on the comfy recliner and just lay there, enjoying the feeling of a nice soft chair. She finally rose and walked down a hall and began peering in rooms. The first room she came to had to be hers. Her clothes were on a large bed. The bunk beds were gone! There was a dresser waiting for her to stock it and a wardrobe. She wondered how they had been able to transport everything when she remembered the abandoned trailer at the end of the camp. The next room had the a bunk bed in it and she guessed that it had to be Faith's room for there were dolphins everywhere but she wondered why Faith had not got a bed. She then walked into a storage room where there were cans of food, varied items of clothing, extra blankets, and four coats; two heavy, two light. She walked into another room and heard what sounded like a river. She looked down in the toilet and saw water flowing like a river underneath her. She scurried outside and saw that they had diverted the some of the river water to carry away their wastes. The last unknown room to her was for the cats, though they were permitted to walk everywhere for a small cat walk came out of a square hole near the top of the wall and went into each room through another square in the walls. She opened the door and saw cat posts and homes, along with a wading pool, big cat food and water dishes, and toys of every kind strewn everywhere. The cats greeted her and then she saw the cat window. They had made a window seat but the window extended very far out so the cats could trick themselves into thinking they were in the real world. There was also a cat door that lead to a fenced in area with chicken coop over the top and she saw several cats sun roasting out there. She was beyond impressed and hurried to tell them so. She found Faith talking extravagantly with Micheal and when Faith saw her, her cheeks colored deep red. "Uh hi, Alyssa, this is Micheal as you know," she stuttered and her tongue stumbled over the words as if they were lead in her mouth. "Hi Micheal, Faith, when did you manage to get the furniture?" she inquired and saw Faith sigh in relief and she wondered why. "Well, somehow I knew that you would be the last in so I had everyone gather furniture for the cabins and I told them that it was a supprize for you. I then thought that I would be moving out soon so I had them leave the bunk bed in my room and set up a room for me at Justine's. What did you think?" Faith asked, a smile lighting up her face. "I think that you are beyond intelligent and whose idea was it for the sewer system?" Alyssa wanted to know for she was more than impressed, that had to take a lot of their time and effort. "It was mine," Micheal spoke up and Alyssa noticed how close in age he was to Faith. He was quite handsome and she looked at her younger sister with curiosity. She saw her blush again and she looked back at Micheal. She knew that she was making them nervous but she was becoming aware of a relationship that she had thought Faith had no interest in. "Yeah, well, I am very impressed and I need to go take care of my chores," she decided to let them be for she did not want to turn Faith off of a guy after her history of never liking one in the fashion that she was now. She took care of her garden and saw that her dogs were back to only nine and she smiled. Good, she thought, they're being adopted and she went back to her garden. She finally finished and she went back in, grabbed bathing supplies, and a fresh set of clothes. She headed off to the water fall and when she reached it, saw that they had built a stall around it but the water was able to flow underneath it. The door was wide open so she eagerly leapt in and discovered they had placed a flat, dry rock for people to set their clothes on and an area to dry so that they could change hidden away. She was even more astonished by their carpentry skills. The water was freezing cold and numbed her with the first hit but she bathed in luxury because her Click here to read the rest of this story (141 more lines)
