A poem about letting go of love and getting over it at the same time. | |||
Finding Peace ~ I sit and stare at a small screen wanting it to care but it's a machine. It has no emotions. Doesn't know the meaning of affection or devotion. Can't give me what I'm looking for. Doesn't understand what I need. Feel like putting it on ignore. ~ I sit and stare out the window waiting for a gentle breeze. Mind in limbo. Wanting the sun to return, but know it's on a distant shore. The clouds and storms of life have become a burdensome chore. How I long to be free of the chains around my heart. What I wouldn't give for someone to simply love me. ~ Consulted a physic. Was told there was no soul mate. Felt let down and used. Wanted to chalk it up to fate. Roll over and play dead. Shut out the grief. Give up on life. Lost in unbelief. This game isn't for me. Allow pain to swallow me whole. Murdered by love in the first degree. ~ Blue rays appear in the sky Click here to read the rest of this story (135 more lines)
