Bride of Christ When He cast out the seven demons, I pledged Him my life, and love, that day. I arose and willingly followed Him with no thoughts of delay. Would go to the ends of the Earth without doubt, all He would have to do is so say. I was His to have and to hold, every command I would obey. Neither for love nor money, would I, my King, betray. ~ Some portraits haven't painted me kindly. Some say I was a “sinned woman” while others called me a whore. I took the yoke and carried the burden, it wasn't always an easy chore. But for Him, I gladly painted a smile on my face and told my tale from shore to shore. For I knew His love for me, felt it to my soul's core. It wasn't what most thought. Wasn't a love meant to adore in the traditional sense. Was more a spiritual rapport. ~ I was there the day He died. Was the first to see Him after He rose. Saw every slash and every bruise, even saw the blood as it flowed. Watched the men and women, who flocked to His side, and those who came to weep and cry, the ones who supported and those who opposed. Stood there and watched my Lord put to death, finding it hard to keep my compose, as they stabbed Him in the side with a spear and fought over his clothes.
