Love and Hate Part 2 By: Lori I started this series a couple of weeks ago, but life has of throwing a kink into well-laid out plans. I honestly think that it was sidetracked because it wasn't the right time to do it. Now it is, so I'm going to try to pick up where I left off. But, first here are more definitions of love. 1. sexual passion or desire. Isn't it funny that sex is usually linked with love? For some this isn't true. They would rather make sex something about lust and make it ugly. When anyone who's had sex with someone they love knows that it can be the most beautiful thing on earth. 2. a person toward whom love is felt; a beloved person; sweetheart. I don't think this one needs a comment for it stands on its own. I mean you do have to love someone before they can be a sweetheart, right? Or is it just a sexual term people use to make you trust them when they don't have good intentions? Something to think about isn't it? Here are some more quotes on love: "Sex is an emotion in motion." ~Mae West~ Why is sex always about love? But love isn't about sex? I mean you don't have to love someone to have sex with them. All you need is to have a feeling down below and voila, BAM. You're spread out on the bed and you're having sex with someone whose name you may not even know. For people in love, it's never about sex. It's about the feelings you share with the other person. Don't get me wrong! Sex in a relationship is important. But, it's NOT the most important thing for either party. If it is, maybe they need to look at their relationship and see what kind of leg it has to stand on. Life and hope for the world are to be found only in the deeds of love. ~Bertrand Russell~ Now here's a man after my own heart. That is if he hadn't died the year I was born. But, the man knows what he's talking about when it comes to love. Love is what should be first on anyone's list to make this world a better place. If you have love in your heart that you are willing to share with the world, then half the battle is won already. And if the love in your heart is REAL love, not the love of some “thing” but of some “body.” There's a difference! The love of a thing is the reason, most of the time, we go to war. The love of a person, all the time, is the reason we win the war with ourselves. Say you have a man who's an addict, and any kind will work here. If that addict could find the reason, within himself, to love some “body” over the some “thing” that controls his life, then he could win the war against drugs. Now for the definitions of hate: 1. To feel hostility or animosity toward. This feeling has the potential to harm a person or thing. It also can drive people to insanity. Think about it. When your life is full of hate toward some “thing” or some “body,” you can miss out on the joys of being alive and well. It can drive you to kill some “thing” such as an animal not used for food, clothing, or shelter. Also to kill some “body” because you feel such a strong dislike for them that it's the only way you know to destroy the feelings inside yourself. Which leads to the next definition: 2. the emotion of intense dislike; a feeling of dislike so strong that it demands or action. See the above paragraph. That's all I can say on this one.
