A farmer and his wife are found brutally murdered, but unknown to all, that's just the beginning.

Anna woke her up, shaking her violently, "Oh Jenny wake up. Somethin'
awful's happened." Those words had her up in a flash and she followed
her sister into the living room.

A reporter was on the tv, a quaint farmhouse behind her, "The couple was
found drained of all blood with pagan symbols carved into their flesh.
The police have no suspects at that time, but Captain Smith promises
that they will make headway in this brutal murder. Captain Smith, do
you have any idea why this couple was so horribly slain?"

Captain Smith, a pudgy man with a face that looked as if it were made
from dough, cleared his throat then announced, "Well uh, no, as far as
we can tell, it was a senseless killing."

"Yes, well, the pagan symbols. Could this be a satanic murder? Is this
possibly connected to the Kdowskis killings twenty years ago?" the
reporter smiled a broad, fake pink lipped smile, as if she weren't
covering a grotesque event but rather a cookie tasting carnival or
something similarly innocent.

"Well, it's hard to say if it could be a satanic killing. Yes, there
are pagan symbols but it doesn't necessarily mean it's satanic. As for
the Kdowskis, I don't believe it would have anything to do with them.
They all died in that horrible run and these murders are done
differently. The bodies were drained of all blood not stabbed as they
were in that case," the Captain straightened his tie, obviously
uncomfortable being video taped.

"Drained of all blood? Does this mean that their blood was found near
them or was it actually gone?" there was a morbid excitement in her
voice and Jenny felt a little freaked out.

At her question, the Captain looked very uncomfortable, "You see, the
blood was actually gone. It's a very strange case and we're doing our
best to make sure that it's solved before any further murders occur."

"So you believe there may be further killings?" the reporter pounced on
his slip.

"Uh, I didn't say that. I just want to make sure that no more happened.
That's my job, which speaking of, I need to go do," he was dodging and
everyone knew it but the reporter could keep him no longer.

"As you can see, this is one of the those crimes that confuses even our
professionals. Who were poor Mister and Missus Lester that they
deserved such horrific deaths? Even more troublesome, who was the
killer that perpetrated such a crime? Are more people at risk? Are
you at risk? This is Catherine Deveny, reporting for Sunshine Valley
News."

At that moment, Momma came charging in and turned off the television,
"What are you doing watching that crap? There ain't nothin' on there
you need to be seein'. Now off with ya, as I recall Jenny, ain't you
supposed to be workin' on homework?"

Jenny and Anna looked at each other, then Anna spoke up, "She will later
Momma, we were supposed to go get Will. Da said so."

"Very well," momma didn't really care as long as they didn't watch more
of the murder case. Anna and Jenny took off, they weren't going to
Cordelia's, not yet but they didn't want to talk somewhere that momma
might walk in on them.

When they were a safe distance away, Anna slowed down and spoke, "You
don't suppose this has anything to do with that mirror, do you?"

Jenny was silent, watching her wheels running over the dirt road, "I
dunno honestly. It's too much of a coincedence and I had a dream last
night, really scared me."

"Oh, did a young man step out of the mirror and threaten you too?" she
gasped and although it wasn't a young man in her dream, it was too
close to home.

"I had a woman, but they sound the same. You don't think we really did
