this is a story about a little girl's love for her mother

This story is about a little girl called Estrella. She was born to Luna
and Solana. Luna her father fell in love with this beautiful child the
day she was born.Solana her mother, who was so strong and beautiful.
It was as if the sun, moon and stars had conspired to create her. She
was a happy little child. She had an older sister called Nubes who was
as brilliant as the sky.

Solana never left Estrella. She would take her wherever she went. She
wanted the best for her two little daughters. And then Solana got
pregnant with another child. She and Luna thought over it for a long
time.Solana made the decision to give up her third child. She wanted to
provide her best for her two daughters. The light of her eyes.

The surgery didn't go off well.Solana started falling ill. Slowly the
sun each day took longer and longer to rise. Estrella would long for
her mother's attention. All the children her age would come to the park
with their mother's but she was always sent with the helper. Her mother
was always in bed as she did not have the strength to play with her.

One day she saw her fall down the stairs. The woman who could dance in
the highest heels on a rooftop couldn't even make it down the stairs.
She was heart broken but she kept her pain inside. One person was more
than enough to deal with. She wanted her mother to get all the
attention possible so she could be well again.

But She didn't get well. One thing led to another and she saw her
beautiful mother fall slowly down a bottomless pit.Still this child
kept her pain inside.Hoped and prayed her mother would be strong
again. So she could play with her in the sun, go horse back riding with
her in the mornings, teach her to dance.Oh how she loved to dance! And
how beautiful she looked. She was perfect.Estrella wanted to be just
like her mother.Compassionate, beautiful and Strong.

The years went by but no doctor could find the cure for Solana. Luna
took his beautiful wife everywhere. He crossed the seas but still could
not find the cure to heal Solana. She had started giving up hope. The
face that made people's heart skip a beat was now filled with deep dark
red patches of a women who was being cheated out of life. She was only
27.

What had she done wrong? Had she made the wrong decision of giving up
her third child to provide for her earlier two? She knew she was not
able to provide for all three. Was god punishing her for taking her own
bloods life?

Little Estrella had all these questions going through her mind.It didn't
matter what her mother looked like.In her eyes she was always going to
be that beautiful women in short skirts, high heels, holding Estrella on
her side with a cigarette in her hand dancing under the moonlight.

She became weaker and weaker.Estrella recalled the days when all the
children at school would wait for their mothers to come and pick them
up her mother was never there. It was always the helper who came to get
her.Her mother or father were never there at her school functions. So
when all the children would wave to their parents Estrella would
pretend like she was waving too.She didnt want to be the only one who's
mommy or daddy never came to see her perform. She was a victim of life's
injustice at the age of five. She was not ready to deal with such
pain.Estrella kept it inside and let herself be imprisoned by her mind.

She was holding onto the past. Her mother was going to teach her to be a
good person. The person who used to make her buy caged birds with her
pocket money to set them free.Solana always taught Estrella and Nubes
that to treat everything in life, whether an animal or human with
respect. She made them buy birds every time she saw one in a cage. She
told them that birds didn't belong in cages they belonged to the sky.

Nubes and Estrella loved animals. As children Solana always took them to
the zoo.Whenever Estrella and her sister would find a homeless dog they
would bring it home and feed it.Solana would send them with the helper
to give the dog to a shelter. Nubes would always find puppies and
Estrella would find birds.

One day Estrella was playing in the park when she saw some children
