A dark horror love comady about what it means to fall in love with the wrong man. | |||
Feeling as if she had stepped back through time Jade looked around in complete awe at her surrounding's. She was in a room filled with fine French furniture and a large amount of antiques. In one shadowy corner stood a baby grand piano and a harp. She had been searching for a bathroom for at least five minutes before realizing she must have taken a wrong turn. That's what I get for being stubborn she thought, Turning around as made her way back down the hall. She wondered how many rooms there were upstairs and shuddered. No wonder Billy opted to live in one of the many guesthouses. At least he didn't't get lost trying to find the bathroom. She was about to go back and find blaze when a picture in one of the rooms caught her eye. Slowly walking into the room she moved over to the fire place so she could get a better look at the portrait. It was a huge painting of a red hared beauty sitting by a sunlit window. She was smiling sadly and holding a full red rose in her lap. There was something in her eyes that captivated jade. The girl looked so sad, yet her eyes had an unnatural shine to them. Slowly she looked around and for the first time she realized she was in a den-like room. On either side of the fireplace there where floor to ceiling shelves Lined with old books. To either side of her was a large comfy looking chair and a matching couch, Along one wall was a huge cabinet containing a gigantic TV, stereo system, and VCR. She instantly wanted to sink the couch and stare at the picture. It was so warm and cozy here, much like her own apartment. So caught up in thought she never saw blaze appear in the doorway behind her. For the longest time he lingered, watching her as his hunger built inside him. The softest growl escaped his lips as he pushed off from the wall. As silent as a stalking cat he moved across the marble floor. Before she could turn around he rapped his strong arms around her waist. Lost in the moment she closed her eyes and leaned her head back against his shoulder with a sigh. Liking the feel of his body against hers she smiled softly up at him. With a gentle caress he moved her hair away from her neck exposing the soft warm skin to his hungry lips. Loving the sound of her heart as it thundered in his ears he gently kissed the soft skin just under her ear. He hated rushing the hunt but time was of the essence here. There would be plenty of time later for human pleasures. Quickly biting down he drew a gasp of pleasure from jade as she stiffened in his arms. Her mind had been easy to manipulate making it even easier for him to do this. Very seldom did he use his powers to subdue his victims, but time was short and Kelly had given him more than one warning about feeding on the grounds. If he did not hurry they might be missed. With catlike ease he turned her around and picked her up all in one motion. It would be much easier if he brought her back to his rooms, at least there he could feed in private and maybe partake of a few small pleasures before returning to the party. He was almost to the door when Billy's outraged cry cut through the bloodlust and shattered the silence. You bastard. What the hell are you doing? Dark Violet eyes glittered dangerously as he turned, fixing Billy with a feral stare. You have exactly ten seconds to turn around and walk away. He hissed. Let her go blaze. I'm serious. And I'm not? He growled, Showing the barest hint of gleaming fangs. Billy? What's wrong.? It was Kate's sudden appearance behind them that stopped blaze from ripping the boy's throat out. Had it just been the three of them he would have taken them both out but the threat of others walking into the room stopped him. With a soft growl he carried Jade to the couch and laid her down, keeping his eyes on Billy as he brushed the hair from Jades face. is she dead? whispered Kate as she peered over his shoulder with wide wondering eyes. Placing his hands on her shoulders he turned her around and pushed her towards the door. Go get her a glass of water. Frowning Kate nodded. Glancing back over her shoulder once more. she looks dead She's fine Kate. The water please? Resisting the urge to push Blaze out of the way he knelt down next to Jade's head brushing her cheek with his hand. Click here to read the rest of this story (111 more lines)
