Where is the miracle the Lord performed for others? | |||
Loaves In ancient days the Lord was asked To send the crowds away That they may go and find some food At end of teaching day But the Lord would prove them yet For if they understood It was not some meat needed But Spirit strength for food Yet the look upon the face Of every man still there Showed a flock that could fast run With the slightest scare The Shepherd knew the sheep so well So obvious the need Upon the grass he bade them sit He set about to feed "Bring me bread that I may keep The multitude's small faith" "We have not funds for this large group" His disciples saith "Is there a bit of food among The group here that we see?" They looked and found five small loaves And two fish; harvest scanty Loaves of barley, a bitter bread A grain more fit for beast Could this truly be enough For this sacred feast? The Lord took them and gave great thanks For blessing them so rich He broke the bread and fishes then Each basket held a tiche The baskets passed 'midst companies Each one who took had fill Then returned when all had et Were twelve baskets still At times I would that I had sat Click here to read the rest of this story (95 more lines)
