Where is the miracle the Lord performed for others? | |||
Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story Upon that verdant grass To take a small crumb from that hand Which did that basket pass Twelve baskets full were left behind There should be some for me For whom were those baskets saved? What other hungered be? I want some loaves and fishes Lord Break for me a crumb Teaching I have had dear Lord Loaves and fishes! Give me some! Loaves and fishes! Loaves and Fishes! Of miracles I read I've been learning at thy feet, dear lord Loaves and fishes I still need A trifling to fill me up That is all I ask For who that has five thousand fed This seems a paltry task Sometimes I feel so frail dear Lord When my world turns black That loaves and fishes would be enough For courage that I lack Though barley bread has meagre taste And fish gives little more I do not need a lot to fill My faith desire core Show me loaves and fishes Lord Twelve baskets you have still That for me to take a crumb The difference would be nil Do I sin to ask a sign That you for me care When you gave five thousand then The same portion spare Thy Lamb, Oh Lord, sits and waits For the basket's pass That I may take and eat my fill Ending faithless fast Then the Lord with kindness looked Upon my pleading eyes Wanting so to give me what I asked with sorrow sighs "The miracle you ask me for Seems such a simple thing But did you to this lesson now Some loaves and fishes bring?"
