“Welcome to the real world.” Morpheus, The Matrix 

I can’t stop it. Can I? 

The pop culture lifestyle, I mean. 

I wish I could. I wish I could stop seeing the girls whose first time
will be with some guy who duped them. I wish I could stop all those 
‘cool’ kids from getting shit jobs, working at the Quick Stop or the 
7-11. 

Actually... I can stop it. It’s going to take a lot of work though. Yes.
I can picture it now. I can already see it. I can see an entire group 
of rebels and me. I can see us changing history. It’s going to be 
something rash. It can’t be something that flashes before their eyes 
and they say ‘What was that?’ It’s going to have to be something that 
will have people changing the way they see the world. 

I’m going to start subtle, growing the group. But then, something so
indescribable will happen, so fast, no one will notice it ‘til it’s 
over. It’s going to start this Monday. From this day forth, I’m not 
going to write about my school days, as depressing as they are. I’m 
going to write about the revolution. Monday will be the beginning of 
the end of the pop-culture lifestyle. I’m going to teach everyone about 
how things like MTV are turning us into zombies. I’m going to teach 
everyone the way the world was meant to be. 

Maybe it will work.
