This poem exsists not only to describe something wonderful, but also to shaft all depressing self-pity poetry. If you like it (or if you don't) please vote or leave feedback. | |||
The glowing lights create an ambience Your very soul seems to glow Music pumps to the rhythm of your heart Time stops its flow You can feel the energy as you stride 'cross the pavement Your car was trembling when you parked The whole world crackles with unreleased excitement The half grin just can't leave the faces You pay at the door One step in and the air embraces you Your feet seem to rise from the floor Suddenly you feel as if you've stepped into euphoria Snaking your way through masses Finding that place on the dance floor The people on the sidelines raise their glasses To toast the vitality that this room contains You've never felt more alive in your life Your scream of joy is lost in the clamor of sound The world is suddenly without pain, violence and strife And all is lost in ecstasy Tweet
