| This is a short story about how we see and smell. | |||
SIGHT AND SMELLS Word count 135 As I walk down the long dusty road. I can see the dust swirling in front of me with the bright morning sun shining. I am seeing the colors of the autumn leaves blowing faintly in the wind. I watch the small fat bodies of the squirrels as they run up the trees carrying their nuts for the winter. I see two beautiful lean, brown horses running in the green pastures. I smell the purple lilac bush beside the house. The smell is like the best perfume. Inside the house I smell the hot homemade bread drifting down the hallway. I smell fresh baked pumpkin pies. On the front porch the breeze is blowing. I can smell rain in the air and the appetizing smell of the apples in the orchards near by. Tweet
