Musings on the power of rivers

The Power of a River

Rashmi Mann

Cascading along the mountains

Moving in a rhythm, feeling the breeze

Thrushing along, no inhibitions to please

Flowing at the break of dawn

Flowing in the midst of the night

She turns and trembles, her instincts are right.

She is accused of rage when she is ecstatic

When she is perceptible, she is fancied by the romantic

Her composure is unpredictable

Her nonexistence would be incomprehensible

Her path is her own, original and satisfied

Its her ways to which the nature abides

To every brook and bridge she can be led

By the powers of nature or satan's ahead

Poise and power would be hers till eternity

Her character still, would remain to be contradictory

Yet she flows feeling the breeze

Thrushing along, no inhibitions to please.
