| Buying a Coke - a small piece of creative writing. | |||
Buying a Coke I put in the obligatory $1.20 and pressed the button for a cola. That's life, isn't it? Down the chute thunked a can. I pulled it out of the machine. It was cold and wet, like a lover's kiss. In fact, it nearly froze my fingertips as I held it. I pulled back the ring and there was a satisfying ku-chish sound as the gases were release from the can. I put it to my lips and poured a long sip into my mouth. The drink was cold and acid-fizzy and sickly sweet. And I could instantly taste the caffeine and large amounts of sugar. The acids in this cola beverage were almost burning my mouth and neck. Why do I drink this shit? It's probably an addiction. Q) Are kisses really cold and wet? What other analogies can you think of for it? Tweet
