A very short piece, perhaps a work in progress, perhaps a finished product... | |||
Incense burns in a corner as two figures sit perfectly still, perfectly silent on the floor. Each contemplates the other with a gaze that penetrates the flesh. * * * The spicy smoke of the incense has long since been chased out a window by the breeze. The constellations fade with the night and a bird sings softly, welcoming the morning star. Two figures lie in each others' arms. Peaceful. No matter that the sun traces its path across the clear sky, heating the moist earth as the hours pass. Tweet
