Your clock radio reads 2 o'clock AM

Sleep, a past enevitability, now a sacred privledge

Toss and turn, try ancient midwife remedies,

aromatherepy, warm milk, counting sheep

pull the blanket over your head,

or throw it to the floor

Keep going 4 AM, just a hour more

Drink your coffee, go to work

Sleep on your desk, your boss is a jerk

Go home and start the marathon again

until some miracle makes it end
