I was challenged to write about a carnival. It's a little "risque" but it's what my Muse wanted to write. And YES! It's meant to be a little corny, cute, and funny :-).

A Festival of Romance

I'm on a Ferris Wheel.

Begging for one more revolution.

My emotions spin like the Tilt-a-Whirl.

My heart is filled with cotton candy's pollution.

I don't mind the sticky sweetness.

It's even been referred to as rose-colored delusions.

This isn't something scary but thrilling.

No one, except you, has to pay retribution.

There's only one cure for what ills me.

Your Tunnel of Love is the solution.

~

I glimpse the Magic Carpet.

My desire is to whisk you away.

Take you somewhere quiet, private.

A House of Mirrors to lead you astray.

I'd undo your Zipper.

See if your Condor wants to come out to play.

Look down from the Observation Tower

at your glorious, awe-inspiring, buffet.

Ask to ride your Matterhorn

as I look at you like prey.

~

We could make the Pirate Ship sink.

The Ring of Fire freeze.

Lose ourselves in the Orbiter.

Feel a Rock-o-Plane create it's own breeze.

If you need stimulation just picture me

in front of you on my knees.

Then there's the walls of my Funhouse.

You've always liked how they squeeze.

Allow for a Power Surge.

I want experience the Screaming Swing please.

~

After the Pony's been ridden,

we'll breath and slow it down.

I wouldn't want to call someone to cool you off.

Would rather make you giggle by being a clown.

Confessions of love, looks of admiration, and poems of corniness

have always helped when you're wearing a frown.

Sooner or later the time always comes though.

Where we have to leave this carnival town.

Before we part understand one thing.

Be assured I, forever, want you around.
