Sound advice that will keep you out of trouble -- or get you into trouble, depending .... | |||
APHORISMS An aphorism is a concise formulation of truth or sentiment. Be willing and able, but not too able. Beware of how you relate to extremists, especially those in the middle. Change changes everything, except change itself. Commit yourself! You'll get what you want. Dire need and great rewards are twin incentives, if you know precisely what you need and how to get it. Express yourself -- nobody is going to do it for you. Follow things that don't cast shadows. Forget your faith and follow me, fool. Frantic Fridays foretell financial failure for foolish financiers. Get ready to change with the ever-changing universe. Honesty and integrity count -- but so does ingenuity! I'm pink, therefore I'm Spam. If you win gold, wear it well; if you lose gold, wear feathers. Let chocolate chip cookies reward your self-effacement. Let the dreams of children guide your investment portfolio. Listen to the silence of your spirit. You may like what you hear. Then again maybe not. Never kiss a cat that has recently eaten a cockroach. Pamper yourself whenever things look bad, but you're still feeling good. People filter what they say about you through their own psychic distortions Read what you write: learn who you are. Reaffirm your confidence in unpredictability. Ride lightly over the bumps. You don't get saddle sores that way Share the advice and profit from it. Sometimes logic creeps toward a goal while intuition leaps toward it. Speak no venom. Act. Stay inside your body. Don't let anyone get in your head. Sweet scents compel; acrid fumes repel. The pains of letting go fade to become the pleasures of independence. The quality of leadership is measured by how many good decisions you can make per unit time. Welcome warms but chill ices. Whoever seeks power and control must renounce love. You can turn proffered money into goodwill by refusing it. Rev.: Seattle WA April 29, 2010 Gerald X. Diamond Copyright 1989 Tweet
