About a foggy day. Written by a fifth grader, so you can see what us young kids have in mind ;] | |||
A FOGGY DAY It was a foggy day in April. I went to the bus stop that morning, and realized the whole world was masked with fog. The world that we all know and have come to love, was covered with a thick gray substance that fills you with joy. It was a bit scary to not be able to see anything, but you have to live like you're dying, and take risks. That specific day I felt down. I was disappointed due to the fact that I was just mixed up about everything. Life itself had disappointed me, and it's hard to look life hard in the eye, and not shed a tear. Life has its ups and downs, but this particular morning had something special about it. I was at the school around 8:00a.m., and I looked at the fog surrounding me. It was a bit harder to take in breaths, but it was worth it. The feeling of being surrounded my those particles of coolness made my day. Every step I took, I could feel the thick covering of clouds. This was only the second time I had experienced fog. I never thought much about fog, due to the fact that it only took place once in my life, when I wasn't old enough to quite interpret the concept of fog. It was like I was in heaven. The fresh air I breathed, the cool breeze sending chills down my arms, and feeling myself quavering. It may have been a bit uncomfortable, due to the temperature being 40 degrees, but it was one of the best things I've ever seen in my life. I felt like the fog represented me being on the battlefield of life, and being tested to see if I was prepared for an eternity full of perfection. As a human being I do have my sins, but I try my best to keep my promise to God, and Jesus Christ that I shall try to be my best. That day made me realize that life is short, and we make mistakes because we're only human. But one thing I do not allow myself to do is to regret my mistakes. We must never regret the things we have done, but to learn from them. Life itself is a test to see if you are able to pass on to eternal perfection, which in reduced words is heaven. I would rather believe in God for my whole life, and realize there isn't one, than to not believe in God my whole life, and realize that indeed there is one. Foggy days have the ability to make us think, and it shall never be of my knowledge how weather has this incredulous ability. But we stand as human beings, and do not realize immortality. Immortality is a thing that a person can only put on themselves. We try our best, but remember that perfection will never be among us until we are parted by death, and sent to an eternity of perfection. Tweet
