The story is about a grandmother who takes her little grand daughter Summer, to the park for a fun time.

Summer Word count 381

It is a warm balmy day in May, and I am taking my beautiful
granddaughter summer who is eighteen months old to the park. She is
walking very fast with a spring in her small steps. She has so much
energy. Summer is just beginning to talk and is certainly doing a lot
of it. While she is talking she keeps moving her little arms up and
down to express herself more.

Her pretty blue eyes are scanning the lake for the ducks, because she
loves to feed them. Here they come waddling so fast to see if we have
any bread or corn for them, but today we don't have anything for them.
Summer and I will keep walking her little legs moving steadily along.
She notices a furry squirrel as it scurries toward a large walnut tree.
Quickly I see her start to move from the path, and I run after her and
bring her back. She doesn't seem to be tiring at all. We are on our way
to the play area. This is quite a walk for a little girl who is not yet
two-years-old. Up the hill, around the bend, and across a small bridge
where I must guide her. She is very determined to get there.

Finally we reach the play area. I sat her on the go-around, and she
seems a little leery at first, until mamaw sits on it with her. Take it
easy, not too fast, is the look on her little face. Let's try the
swings summer”. The baby swings look like fun. You can go high up to
the sky and not be afraid of falling out; this is the most fun I told
her. I can see by her beautiful smile with all those little white teeth
showing, that she is having a lot of fun. When she smiles her beautiful
deep blue eyes look as if they are dancing.

While I am pushing her on the swing, she is watching all the other
children at play around her. After an hour of swinging and laughing I
can tell she is getting tired. Mamaw takes her out of the swing and
carry her home. I had a good time while going to the park with my
granddaughter summer.
