Since my father died when I was 10 I have hated red roses. Now I long to get one from the man I love. Here's my request and invitation. | |||
Red Rose ~ Flower blooms, gives off a scent, reminder of death, sick stomach. Beauty denied, fragrance ignored, left to rot. Decayed stem, withered bush, no one cares. ~ Love awakes forgotten senses. Can it be like this? Buds bloom, heavenly aroma, make hearts jump. I long to receive just one to prove this love is true. ~ Who's to give me this gift? You? Or another who wouldn't dig as deep? © May 2, 2009 by Lori Tweet
