A love poem about wanting to fall but scared of the heights you have to fall from. | |||
Love's Precipice A child is supposed to be resilient, and guarded. I know a little girl who slipped and fell. Head first over the cliff she went. No one caught her, tried to save her, or reach her. Blind eyes and deaf ears. That's what she was taught. ~ A woman is supposed to be independent, and strong. I know a woman who wants to take the leap. But is afraid of heights. She wants to be caught by the arms of love. Desires to “fix” herself. For just one to prove her wrong. Open hearts and matching souls. That's what she longs for most. © November 19, 2008 by Lori Tweet
