Left him feeling used, abused, and standoffish with people who aren't his true friends. He longs for more, but realizes you can't base life on things without change. ~ He wishes for nothing. Recognizes to do so would open up a world better left unexplored. Afraid to take the first step, terrified to lose what he's found, and horrified to realize how much it sincerely means. Handsome and strong, miserable and ashamed, broken but undefeated, his walls go back up. His heart turns to icy, unmoving stone. ~ He prays to do the right thing, but so wants to do the wrong. Can't forgive himself on past things done. Won't forgive her for leading him down this road better left untraveled. Shouldn't feel the way he does, but can't help himself anymore. Distance is what he really prays for, and a vision left unexamined. ~ Still he waits, dreams, hopes, wishes, and, prays to be the keeper of ~ My heart. © May 16, 2008 by Lori Tweet
