I started this series to remind myself love has stages and cycles. Since I've only lived long enough to know three of those, I don't know the last stage of love. But I hope you enjoy this series. | |||
Cycles of Love ~ I. Can Two Hearts Form a Circle? ~ Two hearts beat, two souls connect, two lives join. Who is to protect the strong? There's no perfect romance in youth. Abuse was the suspect. ~ Two hearts beat, two souls feign, two lives separate. Was it all in vein? I'll be careful of who want enter. I'll be watchful of those wanting one thing. I won't long to be his center. ~ Crushed and wounded have hopes from above. But, out of the way, I shove the hand I desperately seek. On the wings of a dove peace can be found. Throw away the kid glove, become the woman I'm supposed to be. Gave up on love, there's no winner at its losing game. © March 17, 2008 by Lori Tweet
