A lover says goodbye to the one she loves. | |||
Detaching From Reality I need to pull back, require time and space. Can't keep up without feeling misplaced. One day I'll be lost gone, from your life, with no trace. But will always long to see your face. ~ Hold me close! Don't let me go! You can't see what you'll never know. The rain has turned to snow. Now it's time to let you go. ~ Fly high, my Darling. Soar as far as you can. I will never love another man as wonderful as you. A new game plan, not a goodbye. ~ I can't be in love anymore. It hurts too much. I'll be your friend and give you a chance to heal. You can't be my love, so I will conceal my feelings and be a friend who's real. ~ Goodbye to my heart. Hello friend. Goodbye reality. Hello land of pretend. Goodbye to the heights of love. Hello to the hell I now descend. © March 19, 2008 by Lori Tweet
