I butchered an older poem, to see what I could find, and I got this. | |||
Crush Your Walls Don't promise forever, if you can't give it. Don't promise today, if you won't submit. Don't promise to miss me, if you won't commit. Don't promise to love me, if it's not legit. ~ I don't expect anything I'm not willing to give first. In the past, with love, I've been cursed. More than once, my heart has burst. It's a true love for which I thirst. ~ Promise forever! Say we'll stand the test of time. Promise today! More of the giggles and ringing love's chimes. Promise to miss me! Don't go through life playing the mime. Promise to love me. Is it such a heinous crime? ~ Just ask. I'll do anything Feel desire's sting, and hold me tight. Take me to a place where we're far from sight. Come away with me, for an afternoon of delight. © March 31, 2008 by Lori Tweet
