A spiritual poem to celebrate Good Friday. | |||
On The Horizon ~ Something lurks in the distance. Hidden in the background. The fight is to resist the Devil's enticing sound. “Play with me. I'll make you feel good.” The voice hounds. I try to fight it, but he has me bound. “Release me!” I want to shout. He grins, I frown. ~ Something lurks in the distance. Hidden in the heart. The fight is difficult, when you don't know what to impart. A light fills the room. “In My name depart,” says a demanding voice. Satan flies as fast as a dart. “Come with me.” God directs. “I'll give you a fresh start.” ~ Got a glimpse of Heaven as away, in the clouds, we flew. The world sparkles as the sun hits the morning dew. I'm amazed by the beauty. “I show this to only a certain few.” I look over at Christ in all his glory, “I'm not worthy of you.” My soul cries in anguish. “This and more too,” says the Father of all. “Is what you are due. All you have to do is prove your heart is true. Click here to read the rest of this story (77 more lines)
