A woman has no choice but to keep living. | |||
No Choice You hear sayings all your life. You may have applied a few. You know the ones I mean. “It's only going to get worse before it gets better.” “It's always darkest before the dawn.” “Love is for suckers.” “Don't count your chickens before they hatch.” “Don't put all your eggs in one basket.” “You get what you ask for.” All of them can be applied to some situation in your life. Right? Well the title of this piece is one which fits mine right now. I've never used it before and hope to never use it again. But, I will learn from this experience, get behind my walls, and move on with my life. Why? Because no matter how much I want to curl up and cry my eyes out, or lay down to escape this world of pain, or any of the thousands of saying which fit here, I have no choice but to keep on living. I have two children who love, and need, me. So, I will do what I've always done. I will paste a smile on my face, turn the other cheek, and be as happy as I can. All the while I'm dying inside without you. © February 4, 2008 by Lori Tweet
