I wanted to write a poem for Christmas because it's so near. I'm not really into the spirit this year, so I thought I would recall the past. | |||
Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story shining in suits of armor fighting for my hand. To wake when breakfast wasn't ready? Such a big no-no. ~ Christmas is a time of love and joyfulness. Yet, this year, I feel is sorrow and despair. I don't know what it is. Can't put my finger on it. Why do I feel this way? What is wrong with me? Is it because my love will be so far away? Maybe because it could be the last with the kids at home? Is it because there's so much strive? ~ I don't know. I loathe this. I choose to be brimming with laughter, shining with delight, making memories with my children, feeling warm, loving arms around me, being blissfully happy, all of this to be experienced with the people I love. I want another Christmas from the past. © December 7, 2007 by Lori Tweet
