Rainbow Eyes (standard:other, 87 words)

A little something about nothing...

The booth is gone, as is the fair. A gentle breeze blows paper across
empty parking lot. There is no bustle of a day past. No screams,
laughter, or music from carnival rides.

Maggie left in the mid of night, with her band of marauders. We spent
the last few nights together in a sea of fire. Passion, dreams,
tomorrow, enveloped us. Her eyes changed from green to blue to red as
the heat swallowed us.

The rainbow eyes have left me. Summer nights are colder now.
