Buried With a Stranger By Molly Ellen McMurphy I don't know what to think of you, All gangly, pale, and slim, But you look lonely in that box - I think I'll call you Jim. "How are you, Jim, new friend, new pal?" You're a quiet guy, I see. "May I please join you in your box? You'll be happier with me." "I like it here, with you and me Just lying in the dark, But this box is getting stuffy." My Jim did not remark. "I see no breath escapes your lips. Soon my chest will be still, too. It was nice, our time together, But I die now, same as you." Tweet
