A teenage girl expresses the love she has for her father.

You were always there 

When I needed you most 

When my belly hurt 

Or when I saw a ghost. 

You scared the monsters under my bed 

You always kissed the bumps that I got on my head 

When I cried, you cried too 

When you laughed, I laughed with you 

You encouraged me to strive for more, 

Even when I was scared of what was in store 

You let me stay who I was, 

And, Daddy, I love you, just because.
