This is a story of a small town Missouri boy who took a hike in the country one day. | |||
JIMMY THE BROWN FOUR DOOR CHEVY SLOWLY PULLED UP TO THE TWO STORY HOUSE NEXT TO THE HAUNTED BOYS SCHOOL IN BOYSTOWN MISSOURI. WHEN HE SHUT OFF THE CHEVY IT DID NOT SHUT OFF. JIMMY LOOKED UP AND OVER AS THE MAN WITH THE JET BLACK EYES EMERGED FROM THE NEW CHEVY SEDAN. WHEN HE CLOSED THE DOOR THE CHEVY SHUT OFF. JIMMY'S LIPS GLOWED BRIGHT RED IN THE PALE BLUE GREEN MOONLIGHT OF THE FIREFLY SKY OF THAT 90 DEGREE SUMMER. "YOU SEE ANY GHOST AROUND HERE?" the Chevy man asked curiously. Jimmy looked over at him and noticed he did not have any whites to his eyes only jet black pupils and a jet black mustache. Jimmy did not want to talk to anybody that day so he shook his head NO. "I hear this place is haunted," the man said pointing at the deserted boys school. The man felt as though several pairs of eyes looking at him as he walked toward Jimmy who just sat there as he approached not saying anything to him. The man looked down and smiled at him. All Jimmy saw was a mouthful of sharp pointed fangs on the top and bottom of the man's mouth and he was wearing an old belt buckknife on his right hip. "Guess you don't want to talk to anybody today, huh?" Jimmy shook his head, yes and then the man walked up the path to the haunted boystown school eager to learn the truth. Jimmy watched him cautiously as he walked toward the main corridor. For a brief second the man on the path could of sworn he saw a boy with brilliant blue eyes staring at himn through the window. The boy had brilliant blond hair and was wearing a white undershirt and blue summer shorts. The man looked away for just a second and then back and the boy had literally vanished. "Wow, this place is already giving me the creeps" he said to himself. He grabbed the doorknob and turned the sharp blue door inward with a melancholy squeak of the summer's from the 1960's beckoning him nearer. A mouse with corn in his mouth scurried across the dusty linoleum. "Funny," he thought, the linoleum has a very old look to it yet is in totally good condition. He switched "on" the light. Nothing. "Power off", he thought. Then he saw it with total disbelief filling his reality instantly. A stuffed man sitting perfectly erect in a striped shirt and tie with his lips glued shut. His eyes had been replaced with brilliant white marbles and a book was sitting on the desk opened to page 467 in front of him. A devil star appeared before him and when he walked up to touch it the stuffed man vanished and chalk writing began to appear on the blackboard. "Walk gentle in the wood and silence will give you magic. Say no to the White Knight talking backwards and you will bring peace to the land. You will understand when the time has come to you." the chalkboard wrote. Jimmy looked about outside thinking about his friend coming to see him wondering if he would return again so they could go into the hillside together woods together. That's when he noticed him riding his bike right at Jimmy. Jimmy dove into to the grass to avoid him, "what the..." and then realized the boy on the bike wasn't his friend at all but a boy without whites to his eyes and sharp pointed teeth. The other boy smiled and laughted hauntedly. "Hey Jimmy! Remember me?" the haunted boy said pulling on Jimmy's arm. Jimmy only stared at him and then looked in the direction of the old hill yard where he noticed a congregation of bible thumpers assembling. "Meow, said the haunted boy and looked up at the hill yard from where he just had emerged. Jimmy looked over at him briefly and sighed. The haunted boy then rode hsi bike right into the haunted boys school to question the man in the brown chevy sedan. "Oh, I see you met Jimmy," the man said calmly. The haunted boy looked directly into the Chevy man's eyes and noticed a flicker and said, "Woe to those who break the spell of the cursed boys, your vengeance is your destiny, behold a hill yard boy is upon you now and your departure will soon be upon you." "Why speak you thusley,? the Chevy man said. "I walk in the light of day" said the haunted boy. "Your destiny is not forthcoming as tonight your soul will be taken into the room of tomorrow. You must go back!" The Chevy man looked about him anxiously for a quick exit. The haunted boy said, "No from here you shant depart my man, for your soul is required this fortnight." "No, no ..the Chevy man said, I must go back to to town, Jimmy is calling me." "Nay, nay, say I" the haunted boy said, and grabbed the Chevy man in a swift no escape grip. The Chevy man remained calm as the haunted boy grabbed him with both of his haunted boy hands. The earth began to shake violently below them and outside very bright lightning flashed as thunder roared in approval of the Chevy Man and haunted boy with pointed teeth.
