Darkside of the Lightside 

Fear surrounded Gareth Stone as he drove his coupe down his hometown
highway in Michigan New York City on the mid morning of October 21st 
1999. Gareth’s palms were wet through with sweat and so was his 
forehead, he kept having strange visions about horrid dark and strange 
things happening in his home town of Michigan. At night he couldn’t 
understand or comprehend why or were these visions had come from at 
all. 

His coupe suddenly had a mind of its own and drove him to a place were
no one usually dared dream to go especially alone, now he was very 
scared indeed, suddenly everything went pitch black then a fire roared 
up in the middle of a playing field which was surrounded by woods. It 
was a very scary spooky place indeed to be trapped in as he indeed was 
trapped as the locks on the car were locked too and he couldn’t escape 
this horror what was happening to him. The fire roared and was 
surrounded by a circle of stones about 3ft high and dancing and 
chanting around these stones were dark hooded figures who looked like 
monks dressed in black. They were chanting "let there be lightness 
after the darkness in life and after life so be it" then one of the 
monks approached Gareth’s car and by now Gareth was absolutely 
terrified and shaking from head to toe. The monk said "we mean you no 
harm please believe us all we ask is when you awake from this dark 
dream as it is a dream, all we ask is that you drive to this field and 
you dig a five foot hole underneath the stone which is marked eternal 
light. When you have done this pull the lever in the hole and lightness 
will return to your life and the town you live in once more. As you 
yourself know that for the past couple of years darkness and bad things 
have descended upon your town and yourself, why you may ask well the 
second century as passed since slavery ended in your town. 

We are all punished by god for our misdemeanors he may take his time
punishing us but he does in the end. Your forefathers were responsible 
for the crime of slavery and your town too no less than two hundred 
years ago. Now you and your town are being punished for the crimes of 
yesteryears, scary dreams at night will stop, goblins and ghosts will 
go away forever too and the horrid cries of strange animals in the 
night which scare us and our children will stop too, and storms and 
floods and bad harvests will end forever. All you have to do his dig 
the hole and pull the eternal light lever as you are the chosen one and 
no one else can bring back peace to this town and its people but you." 
Gareth awoke and immediately got in his coupe drove to the field and 
started digging the five foot hole and pulled the lever to get eternal 
life and peace back in Michigan. On pulling the lever Gareth dropped 
down into a chamber and straight into a coffin which sealed up leaving 
him trapped forever and the chamber closed and the hole filled itself 
in. Lightness and eternal life and peace returned to Michigan but 
Gareth Stone a 23yr old law student was never to be seen again ever, he 
was the final sacrifice to get lightness out of darkness.
