A description of the color Silver. | |||
What is Silver? Silver is different The color of dares It's money and laughter The taste when you're scared. It's the flashing track Of a rocket's trail It's speed and quickness And a comet's tail. It's the very first color to first greet the light And the last to leave it When the day says good night It's the color you feel When you feel most free, It's the woods in an ice storm And the moon on the sea. It's the stuff that the stuff Of quality is made An ancient coin The shine of a blade. The smell of silver Is the smell of cold And most people say It's the cousin of gold. It's the most alive of the colors It never stands still Jumping and dancing It has its own will. When green bows to autumn When fall colors fade Silver's alive It has its own shades It won't leave with the seasons And when white covers the land It's the sun on the thumbprint Of Jack Frost's hand.
