We've heard from her, now it's his turn. It's corny I know. But, then again isn't love a little corny :-)? | |||
His Vow of Love By: Lori a.k.a. Cowgirl_11 We've heard from her. Now it's time to hear from him. It's a continuation of my story, “Her Vow of Love.” Yes, it's corny. But, it's a story from the heart. ________________________________________________________________________ David looks at Lisa before him. In all his life he would never have thought he would fall in love with such a wonderful woman. He knew he didn't deserve her. But, he's so glad that he had her in his life. David's only hope is that she knows how much she means to him. He plans to show her today if she doesn't. This is his way of doing it. It may seem corny or stupid to some, but for David. Well, you would just have to know him to really appreciate it. Let's see where this leads us. “Are you ready for this?” David asks Lisa in a quiet voice. “Oh God! What are you going to do?” Lisa smiles at him. She's not fearful of what he has planned. She just doesn't want to be embarrassed to badly. “Nothing!” David laughs. “Just sit back and enjoy the ride woman! I promise it will be a smooth one.” David looks over to his best man and nods his head. Lisa does the only thing she can do without causing a scene. She “grins and bears it”, as the saying goes. The best man goes over to the stereo to play David's song for Lisa. He hit's the play button. A song starts to play that has everyone cracking up with laughter. It's got a rock beat to it. “You're my kinda of lover. My kind of lover. My kind of lover.” “Ooops! Wrong one, sorry.” David smiles as the guests laugh. “That's for after while.” David grins at Lisa with a twinkle in his eye. The next one starts to play with a softer beat. “Down in Louisiana where the black trees grow. There's a Voodoo lady name Marie LaVeaue.” “Not funny, David.” Lisa says as the guests laugh. Tears are streaming down some of them. Lisa is from Louisiana, but there was no voodoo blood in her. David grins as he shakes his fist at Gary, his best man. “The next one! Make it the right one please.” “I'm trying! You've the one that made the damn thing.” Gary hits another button. Music booms out of the stereo. Guests grab their ears as the song starts to play. “Got a Black Magic Woman. Got a Black Magic Woman. Yes, I got a Black Magic Woman.” “Oh, for Pete's sake. Let me do that.” David walks over to the stereo, as the guests are just about to roll in the aisle laughing their heads off. “This isn't funny, David.” Lisa says as she's laughing too. “This is supposed to be a magical day.” Click here to read the rest of this story (171 more lines)
