A confused little poem

Doubt

I don't think that this is an illusion-

This state of undeniable confusion.

I don't think it comes without a reason,

So, now must be a dark and hopeless season.

I've learned that much within me is a lie.

Often there's no reason why I cry.

But this thing here now must be so real

That there is pain it can force me to feel.

There's pain inside I really can't ignore,

So, I can't deny it anymore.

This pain here must really mean something,

And herald a dark end the fates will bring.

I know that it's really no illusion-

This state of indescribable confusion.

There's pain inside that I cannot ignore,

So I think, in truth, it must be something more.
