Electric Angel I stood in the dark and watched him, Didn't think he felt me there. I'd never heard such perfect music Played by one so strangely fair. I still remember how he stood there, As he played his music through. As I watched him I could see, His hair was white, eyes perfect blue. I listened to his music. It was more beautiful than I can say. It seemed to speak of empty sorrow, Of all the things now gone away. I don't think he could have heard me. I stood there silent as the dead. I don't know why he did it, but, He stopped his play and turned his head. I hoped at first he didn't know, That he looked but did not see. I felt myself go cold when I Saw him gently smile at me. But still he didn't seem to care. He shook his head and looked away, And, as I stood unsure and frightened, He began again to play. I watched him for a little while, But he didn't look again. When I left him I was certain That he was not like other men. Tweet
