A poem (yup, another one) about the passage of time.

Passage

Walk the caves beneath the places

Where cities used to be.

Watch the falling streams of water

Into mystery.

Walk the places where once stood

Wide and stately domes.

Watch the ancient manuscripts

Crumble to dusty tomes.

Walk the places of the past,

Which have become the here and now.

Watch a world mighty and high

Sink dark and old and low.

See the ancient rivers

That once so strong would run.

See them dried and vanished by

The centuries of sun.

See the golden temples,

Once so beautiful and proud

As they fall under Time's blackness

And beneath its bitter shroud.
