The intrigue and fascination of being in love

Strewn all over my heart

Is a tender feeling of familiarity

A vicious plague of endearment

With the feeling in my mind.

Silent ripples run within my veins

Like the eerie taste of mint in my mouth

When your calm aura engulfs mine.

My breath is in siege

Like a rat in a python's strangulation

When she locks her dear eyes on me

My spirit leaps up high in a joyous dance

Like a balloon cruising to deflation

And now I lie back with ease

Knowing my heart has an anchor
