Love's weaknesses and strengths. A poem about true love. | |||
What is this thing that is called love, Does it come from the heart, Or does it leak out blood, Sometimes when you feel you're in love, You feel at peace, You feel as if you're flying above, But, then there's a time where there is no love, Your heart is broken, and so is the feeling of flying above, You feel like falling downspiral, Like Icarus as he flew to close to the sun, It's an long fall, That seems to take forever, Then, as you're falling, you suddenly feel saved, You get that same feeling, The feeling you've had previous days, The feeling of true love, Is the hand, The hand that saves you, And brings you back to land, It's always the time when you're feeling down, There is always someone there who loves you, As they pick you up from the ground. ~The Phoenix Tweet
