This is a combination of Romance and Fantasy. It's a young man's dream about one night with love in the grass, overlooking the bay.

A Dream

I look out upon the velvet sky,

As a breeze blows over me.

I see the stars, and can hear the waves,

I can even smell the sea.

The grass is soft, a comfortable cool,

Invisibly lush and green.

With every breath I taste the air,

Wonderfully brisk and clean.

Your hand is soft inside of mine,

You squeeze, I look to you.

And in your smile you tell with ease

What words could never do.

A star reflecting off your eye

seems to look just right,

The moon, gleaming off your hair,

Looks brilliant in the night.

If a picture is worth a thousand words,

This sight's value is beyond all books,

A hundred poets in a hundred years

Could not rightly describe this look.

But suddenly I'm drawn away,

As I am startled awake.

And I lay dissapointed in bed,

For the entire thing was fake.

And as I begin to relive

The dreamy ideal,

I silently wonder

If it could ever be real.
