The Brook Paul Garrity The sunshine flows through The barren limbs Bringing the brook to life As it rambles along Blue ceiling above Cold white below Rocks surrounded by water That look like frosted cookies Hills on both sides Laced with green conifers, Stripped of color, Except drab gray. But the only sound near Is the babbling of the brook Cascading down the hill It's beauty calming, reassuring. God created this place So grand and serene For escape from life For escape from pain A secret place, Away from the crowd Where worry is far Thank you, thank you Tweet
