Another blast from my past for a woman I hurt loong ago. I wonder how much of my past you people could discern from these works and their preambles, and my other website Diaryland.com? | |||
Prayer in the Interim These days hang heavy In that February way In that Kentucky interim When the skies are gray Twixt winter and spring And things have gone astray. It's the funeral season Times are hard and wallets thin The cycles's notch where It's all gone wrong again And all that I do and don't Seems a grievous sin There's word of failed peace Fom the Middle East Madmen with nuclear swords Sway them half unsheathed And the gas prices here Have seen no relief. My own accounts here Are barely in the black I may drive to work today But I'll be walking back And all I've done today Is smoke and pour the Jack. But I have you You are the ace that's Tucked up my sleeve And you're there to hold And comfort while I grieve You're all that's left For me to believe in. I have no knowledge of how long's the road How far you and I Have left together to go There's no point in pondering There's no way to know. Click here to read the rest of this story (49 more lines)
