A dark addiction that leaves scars in it's path

Silver blade so sweet and shiny

Torture so blessedly kind

Watch it bead up like tiny gems

On this soft pale flesh of mine

Bleeding from wounds of all types

My heart a mass of tears

I know what it is like

To try to slash away the fear

Little blade so delicate and thin

To attempt to cut out something

Buried deep within

Tiny treasure just so rich

Pouring from the slices on my wrists

Soon it'll pass

And this burning pain will leave

And I'll be held over

Until I raise my blade again
