Idealized tribute.

Columbia

.

This bright morning star,

this plume of smoke and fire

that falls,

was our love,

the finger of God,

pointing out our destiny and yours.

.

Do not grieve long,

sweet loved ones,

but carry on.

For we have left our home

for a far better home,

and can only live now within your hearts.

.

Some day, when you infant dreamers

will have reached the stars, pause;

look back through the eon leaning years

and you will see seven phantom shadows nod,

then, with unfaltering steps, retire.

~ Will
