A poem written for my son when he was first born | |||
A Child's Lullaby Close your eyes, sweet child of Mine, Don't you worry, please don't cry. Mommies right here, by your side, shhhh shhh babe of mine. Mommy, Daddy, always near, Have no worries and no fear. Sleep dear child, don't delay, Plenty of time for fun and play. Teddy bears, lambs, bunnies too, Cuddly friends to comfort you. Gentle hugs and sweets caress, all the things for my very best. Promise to always be right here, Promise to always lend an ear. As you grow things shall not change, you'll always be the one I give my everything. So close your eyes and please don't cry, Mommy and Daddy always by your side. Tweet
