Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story * * * The One For Her came again that night, his turquoise-velvet clad arms going about her waist as he lay with her for a very long time, bathing in her sweet essence and singing to her softly words so beautiful that in her sleep, Sioux smiled. He stole a kiss from her milky white throat before disappearing into the Night. * * * The night of the Archaic Alliance, Sioux waited patiently inside the hotel room, which was dimly lighted with black candles for Elrych to finish readying himself in the bathroom. She wore the required Black Veil before her face and the black dress, and her hair cascaded down her shoulders down to her back. She stiffened as she saw the doorknob of the bathroom turn slowly. Elrych stepped out and she drew in her breath in astonishment. His hair was curly and red; reaching into his dark green eyes which looked fierce with untamed arousal. His face was extremely pleasing, as was his muscular body, bare to the waist. He walked closer to her until they stood inches from each other. He swiftly snatched the Black Veil from her face and smiled a smile that was both sweet and cruel at the same time. “Perhaps we can even learn to like each other,” he said. He then took her dress off with swift and quick movements, marveling at her naked body. He let his hands roam over her body thoroughly and slowly; slightly smiling at the blush in her cheeks and her sighs and moans. He pressed his forehead against hers and stared into her eyes, almost frowning. Sioux knew at that moment that perhaps in the Future she could come to Love this boy with the fierce green eyes and who was really no boy at all. Their mouths met with passionate lust and her hands ripped at his pants, bringing out his sex with a slap. He gently pushed her down into the bed and almost cried out as he entered her moist sex. For those moments together, Sioux did not think once of the One She’d Lost. They lay in each other’s embrace afterwards, exhausted. Sioux rested her head on his broad chest and Elrych caressed her hair. “What’s that, Sioux? What is that you’re humming?” said he after a while, “Where did it come from?” “I don’t know,” she whispered, “Perhaps from a dream I had . . .” “But how . . . Have you ever heard a sound like that before?” he said “Yes, I have,” she frowned, “But, the strangest thing, I don’t remember when.” They slept the sleep children sleep, dark and dreamless. * * * The One For Her showed up in her bedroom that night and laid down on her black bed sheets, weeping silently but despairingly at the empty space in her bed where her essence lingered.
