The most important person in my life. | |||
Her mind holds a thousand stories. I can hear them in her voice and in her opinions. They are who she is and where she has been. Her eye's cherish a thousand pictures. I can see them in her eyes and in her tears. They are of her wedding day and her first born. Her hand's have taken on a thousand tasks I can feel them in her leathered skin and brittle nails. They are experiences she has had and 24 years of motherhood. This woman has seen more than just the world. She has seen birth. The newborn children who hold the dreams of our world. She has felt death. The giving up of the soul to the final hours all must face. She has been through life and back, and has the scars and wrinkles to show for it. This woman is one of the strongest people I have ever known. She is proud of where she has been and who she has become and the decisions that she has failed. Proud of her life, her children, and her faith. Proud of her achievements and of her failures. And I am so very proud to call her my mother. June 16, 2000 Tweet
