Do we really pause often enough to really notice just what a beautiful planet we live on? | |||
Mother Earth, Temple of Beauty by J P St. Jullian Our Mother Earth really is a temple of beauty and resounding joy. Each morning she brings this beauty in all its pervading loneliness, unfolding to us the daystar, the dawn, stars and billowing clouds, numberless flowers, each giving us its best and reminding us that the Earth is mother to us all. Do you find beauty in the simple majesty of the trees with their graceful limbs waving under the burning sun in a stolid breeze, sending dappled shadows to play on the brown carpet of the earth that is home to tender, green grass? Do you see the unrivaled beauty that runs rife in wild flowers spread through fields and meadows, and well tended gardens? Sometimes mankind cannot fathom the greatness of beauty in Mother Earth's temple of extravagant loveliness. It circles the earth, sea, mountains, and deserts alike; beauty that so gleams out in rainbow hues from seashells and precious stones, in red hills sprawled out like tired cattle across the rolling plains, lightly kissing clouds, that embrace the rising and setting sun's colorful change. Our whole universe is a temple of beauty. God willed it, and made it thus, so people of all races, creeds, colors, and religions may lift up their eyes and worship at its shrine. It is so precious; so refined, so pure, so congenial, giving the soul of men everywhere the privilege to bow and worship at its shrine. This infinite joy of abundant beauty is a blessing that is lost to many because of cross-cultural hang-ups, lack of understanding and spiritual endowments, among other things. God's beauty is linked to truth; it is a balm used to heal all those hurt and sick souls willing to accept it. No matter what your cultural, religious, or philosophical persuasion, bow now and worship at this temple of beauty, so freely given by our Lord. Tweet
